Admiral Insurance!

I decided to record this call as I knew it would be fruitful. firstly, sorry for the length of this. If you can bear with it you'll witness the bloody stupidity of these sodding (like all) insurance outfits / rip-off merchants

This is how it started.

After learning to ignore the forests of paper shit various insurance companies send me, i finally se-came to opening one of the many letters from Admiral this morning. And luckily for me (not them) i did! as the first line of the letter stated 'RELAX, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING TO RENEW YOUR INSURANCE POLICY', phew i thought, i'd forgotten about that! Then, further down in smaller print was the renewal cost - it was a whacking great £300 more than my last years insurance! Strange I thought, i'd not had a claim and have an extra year on my no-claims.... I'm not stating this as fact, but i got the feeling they'd rather i'd not opened that envelope, or read beyond the 1st re-assuring headline - but i did, and noticed that i was only 3 days away from being ripped off!

Anyway, the call.... It's long, but so ridiculous - i wonder how many times this happens a day to these stupid fu*king companies!! It goes round in a complete circle and ends with him trying tactics that only Alan Partridge could carry off... lines like "Do you still want personal accindent cover?"... er, i think so!!

So, it was off the Confused.com for a better price. And it was, by over £300. (but i'm sure i'll be recording another call this time next year!)

It's so annoying - it's like they think we've nothing better to do with our time - Stop taking the piss and offer some quality / value for money!

(BTW, anyone who though they at least answered the call quickly, think again, i cut the 5 minutes of robo-structions and hold to spare you some time!)

(BTW again, it was really easy to record this call - used 'Skype' and 'Call Recorder' with a little bit of editing in Quicktime (just blocked names and personal stuff also removed holding time!)
