Not so 'Easyjet'

I have to say, that it actually took me over 30 minutes to find this phone number! It was pretty well hidden.

For a start, I'm not sure that charging 10p a minute for a customer service line. Next is from their website: "If you are unable to find the answer you require online, then please call our Customer Services Team on 0871 244 2366 (calls cost 10p per minute, costs from mobiles may vary)."

It cost me 30+ pence before I gave up withthe idea of talking to a human - I was trying to find out whether my son would be able to fly by himself (he's 14) and what sort of measures the airline has in place - not something I was going to trust a answering machine with!

So you know, I found out within seconds at BA! (and the ticket was the same cost!)

I just got this from their phone line! It's shocking, the first thing they mention (after letting me know that they're going to record the call to imporve the service) is how much the other lines are going to cost me! All this info at 10p per minute! This sounds a little bit like those telephone chatlines.... (so I've been told!)
Just got this from their website!

"Web Support: 0905 560 7777 (calls cost £1 per minute; calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more)(Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00hrs)

Call Web Support to:
Receive assistance in navigating, booking flights or other products via our website."

Yes, that's right! It's £1 per minute to get help from them in booking their products!

Have you used their crap site? It must bring in a lot of money this line....

Did they mention, they've got a website... Talk about draw it out whilst the phone bill mounts. The proper airlines have some good prices now - fly with them and stick it to easyjet.

I will have a look for this! I'm so happy that i'm not the only one who's feeling Easyjets service a little less than satisfactory!
This is excellent stuff - I was just listening to BBC Radio 4 - there was a report about Easyjet customer services, played the same messages - they said it takes, on average 9 menus to get to someone. You'll be able to hear it again at BBC.co.uk - The programme was You and Yours.
I completely undersatnd where you're coming from on this. Their service is a joke! i've waited here for over 25 minutes in order to talk to a human - it's not funny, they think that they can detatch themselves from their customers through their technology.

Their argument is tired, they say that this kind of service keeps their prices low. Well, cost is important, but it's not everything - again, as in your case, I found a incredibly close costs with a proper airline (althought that was not without some issues!) - With BA, I managed to talk to a human within a minute!

I love the quote from their automated customer service rep - a bit of humour! "If you are brave enough to travel with two infants..." - surely this should be "if you are brave enough to travel with easyjet..."
