BT & NTL make you go bananas

Complaint Background:
BT said we could not transfer a business number to a new office (same town only 1 mile away!) then NTL said we could transfer number and have broadband no problems, only they took over a month to sort out the initial required engineer visit to confirmt this, that engineer confirmed that we could not have broadband at the new office as it was not cabled and NTL would not cable the level of building just for us. When I went back to BT they said we actually could transfer our tel number but it our order then got delayed because the local company I was dealing with in Brighton were useless, so all in all to transfer our tel no and finally get up and running with broadband must have taken over two months, not really that helpful for a small business

NTL was almost the end of me. I moved home and they failed to close my account down - the next thing i knew about it was when i got a letter from a debt collection agency! I spent hours on the phone, spoke to 20 different people and got nowhere...

It wasn't until managed to get the email addresses of all the managers of customer care, accounts and even the MD that i was listened too... in fact i got a compensation cheque and a written apology.

I think that they may have been worried that i would share their email addresses on a complaints site?? anyone?
