Complaint Background:
In January 2007 I realized that I was entitled to a free speed upgrade (from 2mbps to 8mbps) on my broadband provided by Virgin Media (UK). I registered for this upgrade, then I waited a month or so and nothing seemed to be happening. I gave them two or three emails and I received no response. When I got our landlord to ring up and inquire about this, they told him they'd do it as soon as they can. It is now 22 March 2007 and still nothing. I run a media-design business from home and this speed-upgrade is much needed, but I can't seem to get Virgin Media to commit to a date, which means they'll (probably) never make the upgrade. I would just change provider but my landlord includes broadband in with our rent and he doesn't want the hassle of switching.
