Complaint Background:
This is an old one of mine, but I'm sure it's common place and now I've found this site perhaps other people have got similar ones to share...

When I was trying to get cable TV install in my small victorian terraced house I called NTL (who covered my area) as they had posted leaflets through all of the houses in our street. We knew cable was being added because they had made a huge hole (and mess) at the end of our road and the road had been closed for traffic for a week.

Anyway when I called, I was asked for my postcode, I told them and they said sorry that area is not covered by us. So I highlighted the promotional flyer in my hand and the roadworks at the end of the street. It didn't mean diddly squat!

Actually she said ' Sorry the computer doesn't have that address' - I said 'well surely it exists, I live here', she said 'well it must be a new house or street as it's not on the computer'
'It was built in 1843' I said
'Well the computer doesn't say your house is there, so we can't help you'

Crazy. What a waste of time.

Have you had a similar 'computer says no' story? Let me know...

From The Sun - STUNNED Stephen Ireland was ridiculed by a bank worker for looking like Little Britain star Matt Lucas.

The marketing consultant was told “Computer says no” — a line straight from the show — when he asked for a bank card.

When Stephen, 21, insisted he should be given the cheque guarantee card the NatWest advisor, mimicking Vicky Pollard, said: “Yeah but no but, yeah but no but.”
